Kollateralfarben is the german visual artist and graphic designer Jan Aulbach. He acts as, VJ, interpretator, improvisator and especially performer.
First of all Kollateralfarbenall cares about visual signals in a live experience context. That context may vary and with it the experience will change. The focus lies on the interaction and improvisation to and with the music and the experience around it. This can happen on club events, together with the music and the crowd, at concerts in collaboration with musicians and in reaction to the dynamics of their performance and also it can happen with dancers, theater actors. As audio visual installations Kollateralfarben also creates and maintains independent atmospheric spatial situations. Atmospheric, sometimes strange, always bold and edgy. And hopefully never ordinary.
