Opening titles for the Sydney Mardi Gras 2014 tv program for the Australian network SBS2.
Building on the established 2014 branding theme of diamonds and kaleidoscopes, we developed a program opener that linked together Mardi Gras imagery such as kissing lips, beating butterfly wings, feathers and festival masks with iconic Sydney imagery such as the Sails of the Opera house.
These icons were constructed from fractured diamonds and flourishing decorative lines which finally form the mirrored heart logo of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardigras.
backgrounds, lower third straps, transitions and footage windows were also created to complete the graphics package.
