About this project
This is the A/V mapping piece we made for the 1 minute projection mapping festival in Japan, awarded with the special jury prize. Japanese morning glory, or Asagao, was chosen by Japanese scientists for a world-first study using the revolutionary CRISPR, genome- editing tool to change flower color in an ornamental plant. What took nature nearly 850 years to achieve has taken less than one using the CRISPR/Cas9 system, indicating the power and potential of the science in our lives. The aim of the project is to create a composition based on this scientific discovery and treat the building as the entity that evolves and changes over time.
