About this project
VOID is an audiovisual performance-installation exploring what happens when a shared reality begins to shift. Rooted in a personal relationship with someone experiencing psychosis, the work translates that emotional distance into space. Distorted imagery, personal sound and hanging plastic create an environment that never fully stabilizes. All visuals are manipulated live via a MIDI controller in TouchDesigner. Projected onto layers of plastic rather than a flat screen, the image is shaped physically as well as digitally. Voice-over, home-video fragments and recorded sound are audio-reactively linked to light and image, forming one unstable whole. VOID is not an explanation. It is an attempt
